Glossier's Social Media

When I think of brands that have a unique voice and presence on social media, I always think of the makeup company Glossier. Glossier is a reasonably new makeup and skincare company that emphasizes natural makeup and embraces all different types of people and beauty. Glossier does an excellent job of making their Instagram a perfect representation of what their company stands for. Their products are very simple and natural, which is what their Instagram feed looks like. Their photos on Instagram aren’t heavily edited or saturated, and they keep their feed very simple and aesthetically pleasing. Glossier does a great job with their Instagram because their whole feed showcases their products while clearly displaying what their company stands for and wants to portray.

Another thing that Glossier does an excellent job of is targeting its audience and followers by posting celebrities or random people using their products. Glossier will frequently post selfies of other people wearing their makeup in a casual everyday life setting which displays to their followers that anyone can look good and feel good while wearing their makeup. This makes their followers more comfortable with the brand and more willing to buy their products because they know it will look good on them and can see how their makeup looks in everyday settings. Overall, I think Glossier does an excellent job of portraying its brand and products on social media, and because of this, more people are willing to buy their products and feel more connected to their company.
