The Future of Social Media

When I think about the future of social media, I tend to think about how social media will become huge in a business sense. When social media first became popular, it was mainly used as a fun way for people to post pictures of their daily life or photos they find interesting. However, social media has turned into a full-on business, and people have jobs centered around social media. You can now work for a company or brand on a social marketing team or even be a social media influencer. Social media is incorporated into everything we do in our daily lives, and if you don't keep up with it, it is only a disadvantage for you. In the future, social media will lean less into a fun and harmless thing and more into a stressful and required thing to have to succeed in everyday life. Overall, I think social media will become way more business-focused in the future. Instead of casual social media accounts, they will mainly be for money-making purposes, and the fun aspects of social media will slowly slip away.
