Glossier DM

On February 14th, in class, we had to DM a company either complementing them, making a complaint, or anything we wanted to see if they would respond. I chose to DM the makeup and skincare company Glossier and tell them that I did an assignment on their social media presence and how I love their products and brand. Within 30 minutes, they responded to me with a delightful and appreciative text. They then sent me another response and told me I could reach out to them whenever. This made me appreciate and respect their brand so much more than I already did. Responding very fast and making it meaningful made me feel like their workers and brand cared and respected me. I think that Glossier must have workers whose job is to go through their social media comments and DMs and respond, which is very smart of them, and I think every company should do this to build strong connections between them and their followers/customers. Overall, Glossier’s social media presence is very impressive and makes me want to buy their products more. Their response to my DM made me appreciate their company even more and made me want to support their company even more than I already do.
